Let’s have a look at the industries where stainless steel welded pipes are used extensively: Oil & gas: Technology plays an immense role in the gas and oil industries. The need for corrosion resistant piping has increased over the last few years as the depths we explore for oil excavates and more strain is being placed on the duplex and super duplex stainless steel pipes we use. These unfavourable environments can be unbelievably harsh and if the damage is left uninspected, the pipes would burst easily & become unusable for deeper depths. This is why it is critical to have robust pipes in the gas and oil industry. Desalination: Desalination is the exclusion of salt & other minerals from a source of water. This is conducted to convert water into fresh water that’s fit for humans to use or probably irrigation. Often, salt is produced as a by-product & desalination are employed on several submarines & ships. At present, desalination is usually spoken about when trying to bring fresh potable water to regions where it’s tough to found. Metals and saltwater usually don’t mix well pretty well, therefore the significance of getting piping in the desalination industry that’s able to bear the natural corrosive properties of salt water. Liquefied natural gas: LNG is gas that has been provisionally converted into a liquid form for the sake of transportation. Its volume is greatly decreased to make it easier and cheaper to transport. In some cases, transporting natural gas via pipelines isn’t possible or cheap enough to be worth the cost, which is why it’s instead transported through a liquid form
