  1. Meet Mike Heller... Bartender and Resident Santa Here's an extra special Staff Spotlight, just in time for The Holidays! This week we want to give a special shout out to Mike Heller, one of our fabulous bartenders! Mike has worked at Sign of the Whale for about a year, but boasts 10 years of bartending experience! He has helped to open bars in National Harbor, Baltimore, New York, and Las Vegas and creates extra special custom drinks! His favorite drink to make is one of his delicious creations called “Passed out on the Beach at Night.” This drink is sure to deliver and includes Cabo Wabo Reposado tequila, peach schnapps, Blue Moon (and many more secret ingredients!) Mike’s favorite drink is Bourbon and he’s a diehard Redskin fan! On his time off you can probably find him roaming around DC, VA, and MD catching a game, having a drink with buddies and visiting his old spots! You can catch Mike at Sign of the Whale throughout the week, pouring up drinks for happy hour, throwing the party late night, or creating special drinks for your birthday or private event. We wanted to spotlight Mike this week, because next week he’ll be taking on another special role…Santa! For the last 4 years, Mike has dressed up as Santa and bartended to help collect toys for Toy’s for Tots. The event is a hit every year and all are invited to participate. Join us next Thursday, December 10th from 6-9pm. Donate an unwrapped toy and receive ½ priced drinks. That’s what we like to call “drinking for a cause!” Posted on November 30th, 2015 - See more at: Meet Mike Heller...
