  4. Real Estate Equity The difference between the price at which you could currently sell your home and the remaining amount owed on the mortgage. Appreciation– an increase in the value of the property. The value of the property is determined by an appraiser. Costs will include: Property Taxes, Interest, Insurance, and Maintenance.
  5. Other Investments Commodities Include grain, livestock, and precious metals traded on an exchange. (ex. Chicago Board of Trade) Collectables Items of personal interest to collectors.
