In India, People have now started understanding how much the game can benefit them in building mental skills and earning a good amount of money. Registrations on Poker sites are increasing day-by-day. Some people still label it as a chance-based game but, in reality, it is hardly ever about luck!

  2. Although Pokerplaying is completely based on skills, some people still find is difficult to accept the fact. Here are a few reasons why Poker is a called a game of strategy and tactics:- Tactics behind Bluffing:- The understanding of deception techniques helps you a lot in outsmarting your opponent. That doesn't mean you need to be a good actor or give an Oscar-winning performance. Bluffing is much more than just acting. It's about how you convince your opponent that you are holding a better hand than him. You can have a neutral expression on your face and yet make your opponent doubtful about his card strength and throw away his cards.

  3. Position:-Table position matter a lot in Poker games. Your Position (your seat relative to the dealer button) determines when your turn will come.  There is an early position (EP), middle position (MP), and late position (LP) on the table. The understanding of positions is must to decide which starting hands to play and which to fold.

  4. Mathematics:- Basic understanding of mathematics and probability concept is a must if you want to become a successful Poker player. You don’t need to be a great mathematician in order to understand the situation at the table. Still, you have to learn how to calculate pot odds and equity to predict your possibility of hitting the outs and winning the hand.

  5. Reading your opponent:- You can have an idea of your opponent’s hand strength and potential moves by observing his behavior on the table. You need to pay attention to how much time he takes to take an action, which hands he folds, how often he raises, how often he bluffs, etc to understand his playing style (Rock, TAG, Calling Station, LAG), etc and devise a strategy to outwit him.  You cannot win big in online money games if you don’t use your creative thinking and decision making skills at the tables. You have to understand the basics of the game and improve your skills with training and practice. The more you play, the better you perform, and the more profits you make.
