What KCMJ will do for the DCPL KCMJ will establish an Integrated Library System with the following features: • Searchable database of library inventory • Simple management of items and patrons • Easy checkout / check-in of materials • Accurate tracking of items for loan • Reporting on usage patterns and trends • Built-in budgeting and acquisition functions

What KCMJ will do for the DCPL Build two websites: • A private, staff-only site for secure file sharing and internal communication. • A public site that will feature: • Access to the library catalog. • eBook delivery. • A calendar promoting library and community events. • Schedule of ongoing programs (book club, etc.) • Contact information, Hours of operation, and more.

  5. What KCMJ will do for the DCPL Build a network infrastructure: • Install and configure redundant servers. • Run cabling for the wired networks. • Provide workstations and printers for staff and patrons. • Connect to two separate, firewalled Internet feeds.

  6. How will KCMJ do this? (Hardware) • 25 workstations for Patron use. • Two Librarian workstations. • One workstation with projector in the Community Meeting room. • One Notebook computer with wi-fi connectivity.

  7. How will KCMJ do this? (Hardware) • Two monochrome and one color laser printers. • Two servers running Microsoft Server 2008. • Filtered Internet access for all computers. • A DVD player and LCD projector will be available for loan to patrons upon request.
