  2. Similarities between Venus and Earth • 95% of Earth’s diameter (6052km to 6378 km) • 95% of Earth’s density (5250 kg/m3 to 5520 5250 kg/m3) • 91% of Earth’s gravity (8.87 m/s to 9.8m/s) • Very weak magnetic field compared to earth; doesn’t even reach beyond the clouds

  3. Color/land features • White/yellow from space • Brown/red on surface • Volcanoes/lava flows • Rift valleys • Meteor craters

  5. Surface & Inner Composition • Surface is mostly made of basalt and granite. • Crust is made mostly of silicate, basalt, and granite • Composition of the mantle is silicate • Core is made of either iron or nickel.

  6. Unique features • Spins backwards compared to Earth. • Very thick C clouds.

  7. Time • One day is 243 Earth days • One year is 225 Earth years
