Before starting the initial design, mathematical calculations are conducted to size the turbine parts. By applying a specified physics formula, the calculation of the net head is done. Total head and gross head are the major factors included in the calculation of net head. Then, the flow rate, head data, and other data of the Pelton hydro generator are considered. The shape, size, weight, edges are the things to measure before starting the designing process. The calculation of jet diameter is a crucial part of the design process.
