  6. New Bungalow Self Build Cornwall – Norfolk, UK Daikin Altherma provides an ideal energy efficient solution using renewable air to water heat pump technology for a new self build bungalow in Norfolk and this system ensures that running costs will be affordable in the future. The main benefits of this solution are: • high efficiency with low energy costs compared to traditional fossil fuel systems • energy running costs 50% less compared to installation of an electric or oil fired heating and hot water system • no need for a back up heating system PRIVATE HOMES: new built

  7. Scottish Young Perons Home Croftmalloch, UK Three Daikin Altherma air to water split heatpump systems, provide heating for a new special young persons centre in Croftmalloch, Whitburn, West Lothian. Daikin Altherma is enjoying rapidly increasing use throughout the UK and its inherent energy efficiency, low CO2 emission levels, clean operation and low investment characteristics enabled the consultant to satisfy West Lothian Council that it represented a genuinely flexible and cost effective alternative to a traditional gas boiler, even more so since the cost of laying on gas to the site would result in yet further expense. 20. Burnham Market Norfolk, UK Burnham Market on the North Norfolk coast is a sought- after area to live in the UK. House prices are comparatively high and it is important that any development has only the best quality fixtures, fittings and services installed. Daikin Altherma heat pump combined with underfloor heating: • a very cost effective system • an estimated average CoP of between 3-4 • no need for a back up heating system • the average heating cost was calculated as less than half of that of a comparable oil fired system PRIVATE HOMES: renovated

  21. Coxhead Gloucestershire, UK The owners of a large four bedroom executive house were having several issues with a 25 year gas boiler system. They wanted to use a heat pump solution as this was recognised as a very efficient and much more environmentally acceptable solution compared to traditional fossil fuel systems. A Daikin Altherma air source heat pump system is recommended: • the Daikin Altherma is proving to be 3.1 times more efficient than the old gas system • all the radiators now have independent controls to optimise heating in the whole house PRIVATE HOMES: renovated

  22. Babergh District Council Suffolk, UK Babergh District Council has an ongoing refurbishment plan for the heating and hot water systems in their older rural properties. Many of these properties do not have gas supplies and costs for electric storage heating are becoming unaffordable. Daikin Altherma system provided an optimum solution for Babergh District Council for the refurbishment of properties. It has several advantages: cost effectiveness - reduction in carbon emissions - flexibility and installation benefits - environmentally acceptable and safe to use. PRIVATE HOMES: renovated

  23. Eco-renovation Victorian House – London, UK The heating and hot water system was a core part of the Victorian house eco-renovation project as featured on the BBC’s ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’. The Daikin Altherma Air Source Heat Pump system satisfied the main objectives which were to implement an environmentally sensitive and economical solution for this project. The combination of an air source heat pump and a solar panel has real cost benefits at the long term: • there is a reasonable pay back in energy cost savings • the lifetime cost savings for the system versus gas would amount to around £5000 (15 years) • reduced carbon emissions and lower maintenance PRIVATE HOMES: renovated

  24. Renovation two cottage terrace Norfolk, UK A traditional Norfolk cottage was to be converted from two semi-detached cottages into two large four bedroom houses. The renovation was an opportunity to use the latest building technology to ensure the house was well insulated and to use renewable energy solutions for the provision of heating and hot water. Daikin Altherma, the air source heat pump system, was chosen: • high efficiency with low energy costs • energy running costs 50% less compared to the installation of an electric or oil fired heating and hot water system • the only utility required is single phase 240 volt electrical supply PRIVATE HOMES: renovated

  25. Boiler room makeover Enskede - Stockholm, Sweden Mattias Särnholm, hardly needs any introduction. We have been able to see him renovate several homes in the television show "Room Service”. Last summer he pulled out the old oil-fired boiler in his house and installed an air / water heat pump instead. 29. Chapel Conversion Stokesby - Norfolk, UK For the Chapel conversion project in Stokesby the design of the heating and hot water system was to become a primary factor in maximising living space both inside and outside the property. The Daikin Altherma heat pump system in conjunction with underfloor heating on both floors was recommended as the best solution for this project. Some features of this solution are: the system is compact, the underfloor heating system allows more efficient use of space, Daikin Altherma provides a total solution and there is no need for additional back up heating. PUBLIC PLACES: renovated

  30. Lixnaw Church Lixnaw, Ireland Until recently, St. Michaels church, heated by electric storage heaters was damp and cold. The building was refurbished in 2008 and an ingenious underfloor heating system - 3,925 metres of multi-layered pipe was installed. The system is driven by ultra modern Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pumps. A minimum cost saving of more than 50% is expected. An intelligent control system is used incorporating “Weather compensation” with self-learning capabilities to achieve maximum efficiency by constantly monitoring the outdoor and indoor temperatures and response times • Installed units: • 3x 16kW Daikin • Altherma air-to-water • heat pumps • - EKHBH/X016AB • - ERHQ011-016A PUBLIC PLACES: renovated
