  2. PETG Filament Online PETG is made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a substance you may be familiar with from plastic water bottles. Still, some of the ethylene glycols are changed with CHDM (cyclohexanedimethanol) — therefore, the letter "G" after PET is for "glycol-modified" The end product is a filament that is clearer, less fragile, and more extrudable than PET. Petg filament is an excellent option for printing objects that must be solid, smooth, and have minimal shrinkage. Another reason PETG is so well-liked is that it is thought to be food-safe, though you should still read the small print on each spool you buy to make sure.

  3. Of course, there are some drawbacks: PETG's extreme stickiness makes it poor at bridging, but it does result in excellent layer adhesion. Additionally, it is more hygroscopic than PLA, which means that if left out, it may be vulnerable to heavy stringing and air-moisture absorption. However, regular PETG filamentis a fantastic alternative if you require a high-strength material, and PLA or ABS simply aren't strong enough.
