  1. How to effectively use terminal blocks? A terminal block is used to connect different electrical wires. Terminal blocks are available in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. Thus, it is easy to find one that will be well-suited to whatever project you are doing. However, if an incorrect type of terminal block is used, or if it is not connected in a proper manner, it can lead to many problems. There are different types of terminal blocks. Most common types are Clamp Terminal Block, Screwless Terminal Block, Non-Ferrous Terminal Block, Din Rail Mounted Terminal Blocks and Rail Mounted Terminal Blocks. To choose the appropriate types, you must know what type of connection the electrical equipment is having you are working on. Usually, you will have either a plug-in or screw-in connection. Screw-in wires are positioned within the terminal block and screwed into particular position. They are most commonly used in equipment that doesn’t need high voltage protection. This type of connector can minimize the time spent on the task as you simply have to clip it into the position rather than replacing and removing the screw. Plug-in blocks are usually used in the fuse boxes of automobiles. Know the application of different types of terminal blocks-   Clamp terminal block: Screw clamps tighten the wire using a screw. They develop an electrical connection and are the typical, industry standard termination technique. This type can accommodate a huge range of wires with different sizes and provides a long-lasting connection.   Screw-less terminal block: These terminal blocks are flexible as well as efficient. In these blocks, the wires can be replaced easily with no requirement for special tooling. Its diverse product pitch offers design flexibility and multiple color configurations which aid to ease identification. Its compact design and high density allow this series to be effectively used in the segment of telecommunication systems, security, lighting systems and wire arrangement of architectures.   Din rail mounted terminal blocks: These blocks are usually mounted on some sort of DIN rail. This metal rail has derived its name from DIN (Deutsches Institut fur Normung), the German standards brand that published the inventive rail specifications. These terminal blocks may be fabricated to fit one of many Din rail sizes.   Trail mounted terminal blocks: This type of terminal blocks has decreased the wiring time by up to 50%, whereas delivering a trustworthy and maintenance free connection. It has substituted time-consuming screw connections with the general mounting of the terminal blocks, reducing several work steps. Advantages of terminal blocks Terminations to terminal blocks can be done with simple hand tools and there is no need of mating connector to be used to the wire end. The connections in the non-ferrous terminal blocks are electrically and physically secure as they strongly contact a huge section of wire. The connectors in these blocks are comparatively low cost than other types of connector.
