Research Funding Trend - Actions • What are we doing on the funding decline ? • Engaging with RIS in terms of performance enhancement and funding initiatives • Encouraging broader academic and research staff international linkages for H2020, via e.g., COST actions • Now engaging with Hubs and Platforms (especially STEP) to broaden funding base available to all academic and research staff • Hub directors to come to FRC in July to speak about the support they intend to provide – already visited some schools Governing Authority – June 12, 2014

Postgraduate Research Student Recruitment Trend • What are we doing on PGR number decline ? • Undergraduate research internships funded by FRC to prime students for IRC and other applications (now in its 2nd year).
