  3. 2 • Ryanair - judged the claim in one of the airline’s ads that aviation accounts for just 2% of emissions to be misleading.

  4. 3 • Looking after your mates… • The import taxes imposed on goods from developing countries are four to five times higher, on average, than tariffs applied on trade between rich nations.A shirt made by a worker in Bangladesh attracts 20 times more import tax when it enters America than goods imported from Britain.

  5. 4 • The multi-national food giant Danone has been accused of misleading mothers with a marketing campaign that warned they might not be providing enough breast milk to their babies. The company suggested mothers use its powdered baby milk to make up any shortfall.

  6. 5 • Starting in 2014, China will require that all cosmetics produced outside of the country be tested on animals.

  7. 6 • Deforestation in the Amazon rainforest has increased 28 percent according to new reports released last week. Satellite data gathered and studied by several organizations showed that 5,850 km square meters (2,250 sq miles) of the Amazon were deforested between August 2012 and July 2013.

  8. 7 • Following an undercover investigation, CLW claimed workers at the Jabil Green Point factory in Wuxi are forced to do overtime, must stand for more than 11 hours a day with inadequate breaks, receive inadequate training and face hiring discrimination.
