Plot N14 is formed by four residential buildings, three designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and the fourth by Haworth Tompkins. Detailing the interfaces between the materials was crucial to delivering the aesthetic vision of the architects. Construction interfaces were modeled using Allplan.

  2. We’ll be doing a mini-series on high rise concrete frame structures over the course of the coming days and weeks. With all the uncertainty around the 2021 Olympics, we are reminded of the work we carried out at the Athlete’s Village for the 2011 Olympics as certified supplier.

  3. PLOT N14 RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS INFRASTRUCTURE STRUCTURES & Plot N14 is formed by four residential buildings, three designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and the fourth by Haworth Tompkins. SOLID Consisting of 201 units, the buildings enclose a triangular courtyard. The base of the nine-storey concrete frame buildings is expressed in dark glazed brickwork and contains townhouses with individual entrances and gardens on the courtyard side.

  4. SUSPENDED STEEL BALCONIES This base wraps the site and sits beneath white stuccoed facades with vertical balcony clusters, which are part clad in perforated aluminium louvres for privacy and shade and are suspended from structures that hover above the apartments. The design incorporates a concrete frame with suspended steel balconies and feature timber roof structures.
