  1. A printer is made of assembling many parts. All these have specific functions that need to work properly to print a paper. Let’s know what the functions of some Mutoh printer parts are: Print Head: It is a core component of a printer that writes or prints ink on paper. It has circuits and nozzles that are directly connected to the ink resources. The printer head receives notifications from the computer. Then it analyzes the amount, intensity, and location of the ink that is required. It then moves line by line, horizontally on the paper to print the content. Damper: The primary function of a damper is to prevent air bubbles from entering the print head. It should have an air gap on top of the chamber. If the damper is full of ink, it won’t function properly and needs to be changed. It also contains a filter that can block and open the flow of the ink.

  2. Doctor Blade: A doctor blade is a device that removes excess ink from the printing cylinder. Without a doctor blade, the printer will most likely distribute uneven ink on the surface where the printing is taking place. As it is a metallic device, over time they are subjected to corrosion and wear & tear. Encoders: An encoder in a printer is a sensing device that provides feedback. This feedback is received by a motion control device such as a PLC or counter. The signal sent by an encoder is used to determine the position, speed, count, and direction of the printer. You can use these readings to send a command for a particular function. Pumps: Pumps inside a printer are a vital part that has various functions including ink degassing, circulation, system vacuum & pressure, and cleaning. The primary function of the pumps is the flow of the ink from the ink cylinder to the print head.
