  4. The“Seventy Weeks” ofDaniel 9

  5. This amazing 70-Week Prophecy • provides powerful evidence • not only for the inspiration of Scripture • but also for the messiahship of Jesus — • “the Messiah the Prince” of Daniel 9:25.

  9. This prophecy of the SeventyWeeks in Daniel 9:24-27 . . . • is of tremendous importance • not only because it forecasts the TIME when the Messiah would arrive • but also because of its prom- inent use in the theology of the Secret Rapture Theory.

  11. To what “TIME” was He referring? Surely it was the prophetic time of which Daniel wrote —the 69 prophetic weeks, or 483 years, that reached to “Messiah the Prince.” He had indeed come, and withHis own lips He announced thatthe TIME had expired, andthe Messiah had arrived.

  12. The Apostle Paul also testifies: • “When the FULLNESS of the TIME had come, God sent forth His Son. . . .” — Galatians 4:4 • The God we serve isPUNCTUAL & PRECISE!

  13. MATHEMATICSvalidates & verifies Jesus’ claim to be the MESSIAH!

  14. King Artaxerxes authorized the rebuilding in 457 B.C.

  15. The Names of the Son of God: • “Jesus” means SAVIOR in Hebrew – Matthew 1:21. • “Messiah” in Hebrew and “Christ” in Greek meanANOINTED ONE or KING. • The full name “Jesus Christ” thus means SAVIOR KING.

  16. The Names of the Son of God: • The prophet Samuel anointedSaul and later David to be KING over Israel. — 1 Samuel 10:1 & 16:13 • Even today the crowned heads of Europe are ceremonially anointed with a few drops of oil upon assuming the throne.

  17. Jesus was anointed by God as the Messiah / King at His baptism: • Acts 10:37-38 speaks of “the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. . . .” • This happened in A.D. 27.
