  1. Renewble Energy By Emma and Lana

  2. What is Renewble Energy? • Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as wind, rain, sunlight, geothermal heat and tides. • Renewble energy is a good source to use because it is enviroment friendly and dosent waste. • The next few slides are about a few sources of renewble energy.

  3. Solar Power Monocrystlline solar or solar panels collect heat from the sun and that heats water turning that water to steam then turning a turbine making a generator make electricity. Solar panels also have the ability to store energy and use it another time when needed. Using solar panels saves money and energy and have a protective layer of glass to stop scratches. Solar panels are a great way of being eco friendly and you can save upto 70% on water heating. Solar panels make no emissions so they dont harm the enviroment.

  4. Geothermal Heat • Geothermal heat is based on gathering heat from under the earths crust. This form of renewble energy comes from the radioactive decay inside the Earth. Geothermal plants are known to produce 10 gigawatts worldwide Nesjavellir geothermal energy plant

  5. Tidal energy • Being another source of renewble energy tidal power uses waves made by the push and pull of the moon energy is created by a turbine and generator when water comes in and out and the movement of the turbine depends on how much electricity is produced. This type of renewble energy dose not produce any emmisions so is Eco friendly

  6. Wind power • Wind farms are a renewble source of energy and are eco friendly recently china have just installed seven new wind turbines to help their efficiency because they produce so much Co2. Wind turbines have appeared more through out the uk and are a part of our energy generating today. Wind turbines have been called ugly on land thats one reason why they were moved to the sea.

  7. Doing your bit. Doing everyday things help the enviroment so here are a few things that you can do to help.. Dont litter Use energy saving light bulbs Dont leave the tv on stanby If you do these things you’ll be doing you bit for the planet. So please do them

  8. To find out more ... • Some websites that can give you tips to help the enviroment... • Recycle now - Recycle Now - where and how to recycle - Official UK recycling campaign • BEGREEN.COM • TREEHUGGERS Eco Sites
