  1. WP3 – Cluster PoliSEE Platform Thessaloniki, 18-19 September 2013 Ovidiu Savu – North-East RDA (ERDF PP11)

  2. RESULTS OF THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION CONCERNING DEFINITION OF THE PLATFORM FUNCTIONS AND CONTENT DEVELOPMENT • 271 questionnaires filled in by stakeholders • 6 WGs – 6 statistical data reports on public consultation elaborated and 1 consolidated report (incomplete) • Only 5 statistical data reports have the conclusion section included by the WG responsible: WG1, WG2, WG4, WG5 and WG6 • Still pending: WG3 (ERDF PP5, BG) Why we need all the conclusions?

  3. WHAT ARE THE CONCLUSIONS SO FAR (1) What the platform should be? WG1 : • a marketplace for finding information and partners, as well as a contact list of R&D experts and stakeholders • a network to facilitate the organization of workshops on cluster projects, initiatives and sharing of best practices. • a meeting point for interacting with other cluster policy makers • WG2: • basis of inputs for the development of regional/national cluster programs (with objectives related to support of eco-innovation and R&D) • broader understanding of cluster policies in area of sustainable development and eco-innovation industries in SEE area (which is strictly foreseen by the project) • access to specific information on new green technologies & investments in eco-innovative industries through different mechanisms. WG4: • Interface for development of emerging/start-up clusters in cooperation with the already more developed and well-functioning ones. Insertion of a quality filter for clusters offering the capability to select the best performing clusters with track record for good cooperation, exchange of better practices and applying for cooperation projects.

  4. WHAT ARE THE CONCLUSIONS SO FAR (2) What the platform should be? WG5 : • A library or resource of information including studies, documents, useful templates, databases; • A “knowledge share” point where interested parties may exchange knowledge, receive advice from experts on regional specialization, cluster policies • A project marketplace where stakeholders may have access to databases - contact lists of regional sectorial clusters and R&D experts and will be able through special filters to find information about future partners (clusters, cluster organizations, etc.) for possible collaboration • A meeting point for stakeholders for networking activities • WG6: • a tool capable of providing relevant information for identification of funding sources necessary for elaboration of human resources training projects. • acollaborative environment where to search and find effectively the information and partners • platform should include the profiles of the clusters (with address, website, management teams and photos) specifically structured on sector classification and list of services provided by the clusters • a distinct section of the platform dedicated to a Meeting Point of policy makers

  5. SUMMARIZING: WHAT ARE THE IDENTIFIED NEEDS? The platform should be mainly: • A market place- finding information and partners, as well as a contact list of R&D experts and stakeholders, contact lists of regional sectorial clusters and R&D experts, future partners (clusters, cluster organizations, etc.) for possible collaboration • A meeting pointfor interacting with other cluster policy makers; • A library or resource of informationincluding studies, documents, useful templates, databases and where interested parties may exchange knowledge, receive advice from experts on regional specialization, cluster policies; Is the design of the platform reflecting these identified needs? The library section is the one already existing, but needs to be structured and populated with all related information – what information/themes? How we make it functional?

  6. WHAT TO DO / QUESTIONS TO CLARIFY • Home page: • A more friendly menu and better structure which to include: • Market place with lists of clusters in each partner region and related information needed • Meeting point of policy makers / countries / regions capable to facilitate • Library / knowledge share

  7. Forum: • Complicated, how is going to be used by registered users? • Who is going to moderate what?

  8. Community ideas: • This should be the meeting point? • What is the role of this section?

  9. E-learning Module: • What should we feed in for having the basic documentation for training course? • How do we do the promotion of this platform’s facility?

  10. We welcome any input and feedback as well!
