  1. 23.05.2018 Semalt Explains Differences Between E-Commerce In China And Europe For one to succeed in e-commerce, there are some critical aspects of digital marketing which need attention. For instance, any online business depends on a strong brand online presence. This presence can be on social media or SERPs. Search engine Optimization (SEO) enhances how a website ranks in search engine results. Similarly, digital marketing techniques such as Social Media marketing (SMM) help to increase the visibility of a brand in social networks to generate leads for the e-commerce business. However, e-commerce may or not be the same in different countries and regions. For instance, Chinese e- commerce business and European business will be quite different. Moreover, one technique, which is spread in a certain country may not be applicable in another. Ryan Johnson, the Customer Success Manager of Semalt, explains how e-commerce in Europe differs from that in China. 1. Existing models https://rankexperience.com/backuparticles/article959.html 1/2

  2. 23.05.2018 Most businesses in Europe are independent retail stores. They employ a B2B model with much of their inventory happening in the house. E-commerce can be tailored for the direct consumers as the businesses do not involve many aspects. When optimizing e-commerce for such a website, it is not very important to consider issues such as international clients. However, in China, the situation is way different. China is an industrial nation. Most of their businesses serve other markets and have an extensive dependence on cross-border marketing. Some of their models of activities like B2C do not require inventory. China has a stable ?nancial system which not only incorporates all the national transactions but also securing payments with international clients. 2. Marketing In Europe, traditional digital marketing procedures involve SMM and SEO. Email marketing and customer experience response are excellent in Europe. Many at times, bloggers get tones of subscribers and reach many interested consumers. The Online marketing procedures target local customers, especially using Google my business and Google Maps. However, China's primary methods of digital marketing include social media, banners and email marketing. Most Chinese merchants target large stores like Amazon as well as offering many drop shipping services. 3. Webpage content It might take some a bit of effort when optimizing website content for Europe. For instance, European nation e- commerce businesses target consumers. The web pages need to be clean and de?nite, directing a visitor on how to make a purchase using the least effort. These websites focus on making a person, who has shown interest, make a purchase. On the other hand, the situation is way different in China. SEO is not done to lure people into making a purchase. Their websites include extremely long content pages, home page, category and the product page. Their primary goal is covering a product entirely for customers who may require large orders. As a result, their websites are technically oriented. Conclusion E-commerce is a complex ?eld that involves many tactics, which are not straight forward. Many methods such as targeted adverts as well as optimal website performance can make your website succeed online. However, digital marketing techniques are not universal. What can work in one country may not be what will work in another country. https://rankexperience.com/backuparticles/article959.html 2/2
