  2. To Do List before Group Advising • Update ISET Checklist according to unofficial transcript • Update your four-year plan • Complete a GPA prediction worksheet • Check on your URSA account for registration date

  3. EDFE 130 Registration • Registration for EDFE 130: • Semester prior to the Student Teaching • Register for the section that listsMarita Johnson as the instructor • Attend one mandatory meeting • Even if you do not presently have the required GPA (3.0), but anticipate you might

  4. TESL 380 Prerequisites: TESL 350 for ESL concentration Or TESL 370 for Language Arts concentration

  5. ESL Information • ESL concentration requires: • Document language background Contact elizabeth. franklin@unco.edu • Take PLACE Test for ESL Endorsement after TESL 401 • Student Teaching- select the ESL designated section of EDEL 454 • Student Teaching must be in an ESL-based school

  6. Math Concentration • Students taking EDEL 445/446 fall 2014 • Take MATH 391 spring 2014

  8. PLACE or PRAXIS II • SeePRAXIS II on ISET website • PLACE/PRAXIS II Brochures in ISET Office or in Formson ISET website • Take one year priorto Student Teaching • Practice/Review material available online www.ets.org/praxis/registeror at a bookstore and ISET Library • Network with each other!

  9. PRAXIS II Scores • Print your PRAXIS II scores immediately • Score availability expires • EDFE 130 offers information to receive your PRAXIS II documentation from CDE • EDFE 130 requires proof of a passing PRAXIS II score

Student Teaching • Enroll in EDFE 130 semester priorto student teaching {EDEL 453/454} Required 3.0 Cumulative GPA for placement • Please read Student Teaching Information and Policies http://www.unco.edu/teach/st.html • No other courses can be taken during student teaching without permission from PTEP Coordinator • Required 3.0 Cumulative GPA for placement • Placement request for Student Teaching is on Blackboard through EDFE 130

Sign-up for Group Advising • Students need to register for EDEL 453 & 454 (Student Teaching) • Students with an ESL endorsement were notified (per Marita Johnson) of a specific section of 454 which they are to register for • To sign-up for a Group Advising session: • Call the ISET Office at 351-2929 • OR • Stop by McKee 227

  13. Schedule anunofficial grad check • Semester prior to the Literacy Practicum (EDEL 445/446) with an ISET advisor Call the ISET Office : 351-2929 or stop by • Your advisor will review your Degree Evaluation and answer your questions

Graduation Information • Please note new graduation procedure ! • After October 1st for Spring 2014 graduates • Call 970-351-2231, (option 3) http://www.unco.edu/regrec/Current%20Students/Graduation/Application.html • Via Bear email you will receive confirmation the Registrar received your application • Within 5 to 10 business days you’ll receive an email showing any outstanding graduation requirements • See ISET advisor regarding any questions/concerns

  15. ISET Exit Survey • Students in EDFE 130 • You will receive an email with a link to the ISET Exit Survey • Print the “Thank You” page to document survey completion • Bring this to Group Advising

How to get your PIN • Attend Group Advising • Peel off name label (alphabetical by last name) • Go to ISET website www.unco.edu/iset • News and Events  ISET Group Advising Survey • Use PASSCODE from name label • Take ISET Group Advising survey • Submit • Write down PIN • Register on designated date (check on URSA)
