  2. Working Conditions • Tools and Equipment used on a job Heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration techs use hand tools such as wrenches, electric drills, pipe cutters, and hammers to connect parts. They also use devices such as thermometers, voltmeters, and manometers to test the equipment.

  3. Work Hours • Refrigeration technician working long hard hours People in this field usually work a 5-day, 40-hour week, with overtime during busy periods. Some work evening and weekend shifts if their employers provide 24-hour service.

  4. Where they work Technicians work inside and outside of buildings sometimes on top of them Sometimes on top of the building or house

  5. Techs usually work alone, but may work with electricians or sheet metal workers if the job requires it
