The sport Kabaddi is very ancient and has been a part of the Indian culture for over 4000 years, since the Mahabharata. In Maharashtra, Kabaddi was called Hututu. In Bengal or Eastern part of India, it was called Hadoodo. In Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, it was called Chugudu. In Northern parts of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, it was called Kabaddi. The journey of Kabaddi since the pre-independence era played in various regions with different names has been tougher than imagined.<br>
