  2. In general sports require loads of strength and endurance that too in particular track and field events. Considered as one of the oldest sports in the world discus is a popular track and field event wherein participator throws a weighed disc. One such oldest sport that is active in today’s modern culture would be the track and field event. Some of the events include: • Discus throws • Shot put • Javelin throws • High jump • Running etc

Among all, discus throw is one such popular event in the Olympics more to the point, the basic objective of the sport is pretty simple and it is all about throwing the heavy discus farther than his or her opponents. • International Association of Athletics Foundation is the one that frames the basic rule and they are the governing body of all athletic events that have all rights to change the rules periodically. The rules are split into three types and namely it can be classified like: • Rule for Discus • Rule for Discus Cage • Rule for Discus Throw

  4. Starting with the rule for discus it is implemented for the object that is to be thrown and could be made of wood or other right material with a circular edge and metal rim.

For men it should be 2kg and a diameter of 22cms on the other hand for women it must be of 1kg and a diameter of 18cms. • Radius of 6mm for the cross section of the edge and it should be a proper circle with sides being identical. • Coming to the discus cage, it is meant for the pavilion where discus is thrown by the players; speed of around 25 meters per second.

The shape of the cage should be a 'U' another imperative thing is the width of mouth of the cage should be around 6 meters and around 7 meters in front of the center of the throwing circle and get discus from Athletics Store. • Finally the rule for discus throw and it is the real time guiding principle when it comes to throwing. Having a diameter of about 2.5 meters it has to be thrown after the player comes into the inner circle; the top of the metal rim should not be touched while throwing, on the other hand they can afford to touch the inner part of the metal rim.

  8. In case, if the disc lands in the outer surface of the landing area, the throw is considered as null. So in order to get through the game well it is imperative to follow these guidelines.
