Itwouldbegreat to get a sense of what is essential, and what is variabledependingon the particularsituation.

Security Policy • The survey does mentiontwowritten procedures (missing items, theft), and the rest of the surveyraisespointsthatshouldbeconsideredwhen putting together a collectionsecuritypolicy. What set of parameters should at a minimum beincluded in the policy? • Whatother types of measurescouldbeused to ensure the collectionsecuritypolicy is adhered to? • Should the institutions’ legaldepartmentreview the policy (e.g. withregard to rulesfor readers and staff) • The securityofficershould have a network, includinglocalpolice, fire brigade officers, nationaldepartments/institutionswithtasks in the field of the security of culturalheritageobjects, prior to anyeventtaking place. The policyshouldcontain contact information as such.
