Communication • Activities • Publish the state newsletter, DECChallenger, quarterly. • Develop and promote the existence of the Georgia Delta Epsilon Chi web page on the Internet. • Create a Georgia DECelectronic scrapbook to archive chapter and state wide activities. • Outcome • Have improved communication linkages between local chapters and the state officer team. Community Service Projects • Activities • Promote domestic abuse prevention as the state community service project. • Publish Community Service Activities in the DEX State Newsletter • Outcomes • Offer state recognition to chapter participants. • 100% of Georgia DEX chapters earning the National DEX Diamond Chapter Award Christine Adams, Reporter/Historian Delta Epsilon Chi State Officer Objectives

State Officer Development Program • Activities • Develop state officer information kit. • Coordinate a Saturday meeting for outgoing state officers to share with incoming state officers during the state Career Development Conference. • Outgoing state officers present incoming state officers with written summary of their accomplishments during the year at the state Career Development Conference. • Outcomes • Have better trained and more informed state officer teams. • Improve the transition between state officer teams. Increase Membership • Activities • Inform chapters that they can receive a certificate at the state career development conference by increasing membership by one (1) member prior to February 14, 2006. • Promote the national DEC membership incentive program to each local chapter by February 15. • Establish at least one new chapter in Georgia Delta Epsilon Chi and have that chapter’s membership roster submitted. • Outcome • Increase membership by 10% over the previous membership year and have one more local chapter involved in Georgia Delta Epsilon Chi. Corporate Relations • Activities • Promote sponsorships for Corporations at the State DEX Career Development Conference • Encourage Corporate Partnerships with Georgia Delta Epsilon Chi • Promote corporate presence at the State DEX Career Development Conference • Outcomes • Receive support (money, services, employment information, etc.) that will contribute to the student program of leadership development. • Develop & maintain long term relationships with corporate sponsors. • Promote public awareness of Georgia DEC.
