The volume ratio of organic solvent to water was fixed at 1/20. Materials synthesized or used in the study CPT-LA25 NCs Experimental procedures: A DMF solution containing the CPT-LA25 conjugates (100L, 10mg/mL, 5mg/mL, 2mg/mL) was added dropwise to the DI water (2mL), respectively. The resulting CPT-LA25 NCs were characterized by DLS for particle size. Results: The line indicates the linear correlation of the NC size with the concentration of CPT-LA25. Discussion: When the polymer concentrations were varied during the NPP of CPT-LA25 at a fixed solvent :water ratio, we observed a linear relationship of NC size with CPT-LA25 concentration. The size of NC increased from 49.7nm to 72.8 nm as the polymer concentration in DMF increased from 2mg/mL to 10mg/mL. In DMF/water NPP system, the polydispersities of NCs at all concentrations remained very low. Because of the linear correlation of NC size with the concentration of CPT-LA25 conjugate during NPP, NCs with any desirable sizes in a certain rang can be obtained simply by adjusting precipitation concentration.
