  3. God has always demanded man approach Him with reverent worship • Israel, Leviticus 10:3 • From the earliest days of man’s existence, Gen 4:1-7; Heb 11:4

  4. True WorshipersMust Know God (Acts 17:22-23) • We must be true worshipers, Jno 4:23 • In spirit and truth, Jno 4:24 • Spirit: Heart, inner person participates (cf. 1 Cor 11:17, 27-29) • Truth: More than emotion; a pattern of conduct to follow, Matt 15:7-9; Rom 10: 1-3

  11. Do not Change God-Approved Worship • By substituting the doctrines of men, Matt 15:7-9; Col 2:23 • By profaning God and our worship of Him with irreverent conduct during worship services, Heb 12:28-29; cf. Mal 1:12-14 • Remember Cain! (Heb 11:4; Jude 11)

  12. Worship by faith, not sight (2 Cor 5:7)
