Mollusks. 1. A  shell . 2. A fleshy  mantle . This is a flesh-like lobe or pair of lobes that produce the shell . 3. A  radula . The radula resembles a fingernail file or the chain on a chain saw. Rasp food with this rough ribbon of teeth. The radula is located in the mouth.

  1. Mollusks • 1. A shell. • 2. A fleshy mantle. This is a flesh-like lobe or pair of lobes that produce the shell. • 3. A radula. The radula resembles a fingernail file or the chain on a chain saw. Rasp food with this rough ribbon of teeth. The radula is located in the mouth.  • 4. A muscular foot. The foot is used to move around on. Some use it to dig into the sand or mud where they live. Some use this foot to cling onto hard rocky surfaces. In some, like the squid and octopus, the foot has evolved to become many arms or tentacles. • 5. Have to keep their soft bodies moist to stay alive.
