What is THE PERFORMANCE band? • CPPHS is unique as they have two opportunities to perform in marching band in the fall season. • The Competition Band group competes in the New York State Field Band and is the current Large School 3 NYS Champions. • The Performance Band is the band that plays al ALL home football games, on the field and in the stands to create school spirit, excitement and lots of fun! • In the Spring, Both bands combine for the largest marching band in this area, if not New York State.

Band camp • Pre Camp (8/20-8/24) • Monday August 20th Information Meeting* 6 PM • Thursday August 23rd1-4 PM Drum Majors and Section Leaders Report • Friday August 24th9-4 Freshmen Report for Orientation (12-1 lunch on your own) • All Located at CPPHS • Week 2 (8/27 – 8/31) • Monday through Thursday • Located at Erwin Valley 8/27-8/30, @CPPMS 8/31(Report @10am) • Seniors Fill Out the Senior Bio/Pics Google Form (www.cppbands.org) by August 29th • Rehearse 9-12, 1-4:30, 6-8:00 • Lunch, 12-1, Dinner 4:30-6 (on your own) • Band Preview Show, Thursday, 8/30 @7pm, Erwin Valley • Friday, 8/3110-3@ CPPMS, lunch provided by the Boosters • VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME FRIDAY 8/31 Report @5:30pm

  7. Band Camp Student Lunch Friday, August 31th@ 12:00pm Craig Park/CPPMS Field • We will need parent volunteers to help get things set up while the kids are still practicing that afternoon. If you can, set-up and grilling will begin at 11am! Parents, please come and support your students. • If you are available, please email Mr. Beck (email found on the website) • After the camp, we are scheduled to bus over to the High School to prepare for the varsity game Pre-show and Halftime! Thanks for all you do!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. What does my student need for band camp? • Athletic Shoes • Athletic Wear (Shorts, T-Shirt) • Sunscreen • Hat • Jacket in case of inclement weather • Index Card Notebook (DotBook) • Pencil • Food Plan (Lunch and Dinner for the week) • Transportation • Water Jug of Sorts

  9. $$$ • Students will need Money for Shoes ($33???) and tape if necessary • If you ever need any financial support, please express this, we do not want students to not participate for any reason!

How can you help??? • We are in need of parents to help at football games • if you are available during either of the band camp weeks, please donate some time • We need parents to chaperone • We need parents to help move equipment to and from contests • We need some parents to help put together the BBQ (last day of band camp) and we also need cups for the students to drink from at Band Camp • Sign up on the band’s website, under Performance Band
