Join Mrs. Ronson on Fridays for a series of sessions focusing on trust, feelings, bullying, internet safety, keeping our bodies safe, handling family disputes, and the importance of having someone to trust.

  1. What is Kidsafe? • An age appropriate scheme with child friendly messages, delivered through a variety of approaches including:- • Group work • Active participation • Help from KS the puppet • Games • Exercises and worksheets • Friday mornings with Mrs Ronson

  2. Week One Trust and Keeping safe • How do they already keep safe? • Feelings - What makes us HAPPY? Where do we feel it? OTHER FEELINGS, anger, sad, worried, scared, • Where do we feel this on our bodies? • These feelings are YUKKY

  3. Week 2 Bullying • What does it mean? • How to STOP bullying • Identify five trusted adults - School & Home • Saying No – using our voices - Say no, walk away and tell someone

  4. Week 3 Internet Safety • KS is going on a computer when he is not allowed! • Discussion about computer safety. • Looking at Film and gaming classification • KS Scenario – DVD at a friend’s house - over KS’s age

  5. Week 4 How to keep our bodies & private places safe • Children learn rules for keeping private places safe. • Children learn that it is ok for doctors, mum, dad to see them at bath time or if they are ill. • The children learn about secrets and which ones are good secrets and which ones are bad. • Secrets are one of the main reasons abusers get away with abusing children, they are told to keep it a secret!

  6. Week 5 Family Disputes • KS upset because he has heard his parents arguing again – what can he do? • Sometimes it is our trusted adults that can give us Yukky feelings . • Children are reminded that there are other people they can talk to.

  7. Week 6 • RECAP • Its really good to have someone to trust!
