  1. 2-5b Genetic Disorders Go to the web site below and answer the questions provided in your paper. Your Genes Your Health http://www.ygyh.org/index.htm There are 15 genetic disorders listed on this web site. For the disorder assigned to you get a brief overview of the disorder from the “what is it page” and then in your paper indicate the following for the disorder: What causes it, How is it inherited and How is it treated. Be sure to explain genetically how it is inherited as well as what chromosomes are involved and how.

Genetic Disorders Assignment You are to write a paper concerning the disorder you have been assigned highlighting how it is inherited from parents, how this inheritance occurs on the chromosomal level , the symptoms of the disorder and the treatment options for the disorder. Your paper must be doublespaced no larger than areal normal 12 font and no shorter than 2 FULL pages in length. This does not include headings. You are to have at least 4 sources. YGYH can only serve as 1 of your sources. Your sources should be on a separate bib page using the format set forth by the English dept. Your source needs to have an author. You will be presenting this to the class and need to provide a handout covering what you believe to be the major points concerning your disorder. Please include your name and name of the disorder on the handout. When you present you are to have a 3 to 6 slide power point to accompany your presentation. Your ppt. must include at least 2 images relative to the disorder. You may read your paper or simply discuss the disorder using the information you have placed on the power point. Your presentation is to be 5 to 7 minutes long. If you feel you will have a problem with this time frame you must see me prior to your presentation date.
