  3. KUMARI KUMARI is the only living Goddess in the World. The word Kumari means „a virgin“/ „a young girl“ or „ a child“.Kumari is taken from her family in her childhood. Families are usually poor. She lives in the Kumari Ghar, a palace in the center of the city of Kathmadu, Nepal. She lives like a princess, but she is not allowed to see nor visit her family.

  4. Special forster-mothers look after her and teach her how to behave as a princess. They are the only people she can talk to. She does not have any friends and there are no other children in the palace. Every day she appears at the window of the palace. She has special make-up on her face. Nobody is allowed to take a picture of her. You can be in prisonned if you do it.

  5. People go there and pray. But her fairy tail ends at the age of fourteen, when she become „a woman“ and she is expelled from the palace. She can not work, she can not help or do some housework because she was not taught to do it. Her family does not accept her so she stays alone. At that moment the palace is looking for the new princess, other small girl... WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME KUMARI?

  9. HANNIBAL • HANNIBAL was born in 247 BC in Carthage, todays Tunisia. He was a Punic Carthaginian military commander, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. He did an expedition that brought him more fame than winning any battle.The expedition started in 218 BC. His aim was to pass unknown mountaiuns and defeat Rome.

  10. It was a march of nearly 50-thousand foot soldiers, 9 thousand riders and 37 battle elephants, which passed from the Iberian Peninsula through the Pyrenees and the Alps to northern Italy. He lost 33,000 men for 33 days. Alps are known for their avalanches. In some valleys it is even dangerous just to whisper.

  11. The elephants which were intended to startle the enemy cause also the deaths of many comrades. Finally Hannibal came to Italy but he was never able to defeat the Rome, because he did not have enought soldiers. After 15 years he returned back to Carthage, where he was defeated.

  14. Qin Shi Huang • He was thethe first Emperor of China. He allied different Chinese tribes into one country – „The Empire of the Middle“. He was a very cruel emperor. He killed all of his enemies. He created two impressive monuments during his life – The Chinese Wall and The Terracotta Army.

  15. The Terracotta Army • The Terracotta Army - „Terracotta Warriors and Horses", is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang. There were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses.Itwas created to protect the Emperor in his afterlife.

  16. The Terraccota Army was a secret so all the people who created it were buried with the sculptures. • When the Emperor died, all his servants were buried to serve the Emperor in his afterlife. His enemy found the place and destroyed all the figures and set fire in that place. The place stayed untouched till 1974 when two local farmer discovered it.
