  2. Thank you for joining us! Today we would like to cover the following: Initial Project Scope Key Management Interviews Three Potential Projects Next Steps

  3. Initial Project Scope Eden Tree has made it clear that it’s primary focus is on finding funding opportunities for expansion projects. We can approach this in three ways: • Applying for a bank loan. • Discover ways to free up funds internally. • Improve efficiencies and consequently decrease costs. • The last two are the most feasible.

  4. Key Management Interviews: • Some areas of growth that came about from our interviews were • Expanding the farm • Marketing the restaurant • Managing restaurant employees • Retaining and recruiting reliable farmers • Outsourcing to farms in the north and in Togo • Giving more resources to farmers • Increasing storage • Communicating of produce pricing information internally

  5. Project 1: Farmer Relations • Objective : Improve relationship with top performing out growers in order to save money and establish a more reliable collection process • What this may entail: • Establish a set of guidelines and consequences for outgrowers • Design an incentive and evaluation program to encourage and reward reliable farmers • Implement an orientation program for new potential outgrowers

  6. Project 2: Supply Chain • Objective: Create a more efficient processing method that minimizes costs. • What this may entail: • Utilize past seasonal patterns to better plan future purchases of produce. • Capture demand and plan supply to avoid market purchases.

  7. Project 3: Restaurant Employee Relations • Objective: Cutting costs and building clientele by establishing new employee guidelines. • What this may entail: • Implement new marketing strategies such as customer surveys, coupons/discounts and further exploration of the market. • Update hiring practices and better outline employee expectations in order to avoid being over or understaffed.
