Restoration Activities • Early restoration projects focused on tributaries moving through farm lands. • Ditched in the past to quickly move water off of farm fields • Water retained in theses ditches is warmer with decreased dissolved O2 • New channel meanders and is buffered to prevent erosion and run-off

  8. Three classes of brook trout Brook trout stocking began in 2009.

  9. Future work Upcoming work will reroute Trout Creek around the pond on the 17th hole of the Brown Cty Golf Course. Project Partners Oneida Tribe, Brown County Golf Course, Brown County Land Conservation Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
