  1. Genesis 17-18:15 “Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac”

  2. Genesis 17:1 • And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

  3. Genesis 6:9 • These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.

  4. Genesis 17:2 • And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

  5. Genesis 17:3-4 • And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, • As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

  6. Genesis 17:5 • Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

  7. Genesis 17:6-8 • And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. • And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. • And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

  8. Genesis 17:9-10 • And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. • This [is] my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

  9. Psalm 118:10-12 • All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. • They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. • They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

  10. Genesis 17:11-12 • And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. • And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which [is] not of thy seed.

  11. Genesis 17:13-14 • He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. • And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

  12. Genesis 2:17 • But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

  13. Genesis 17:15 • And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah [shall] her name [be].

  14. Genesis 17:16 • And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother] of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

  15. Genesis 17:17 • Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall [a child] be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

  16. 1 Peter 3:6-7 • Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. • Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

  17. Genesis 17:18-19 • And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! • And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his seed after him.

  18. Genesis 17:20 • And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

  19. Galatians 4:22-24 • For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. • But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. • Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

  20. Galatians 4:25-27 • For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. • But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. • For it is written, Rejoice, [thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

  21. Galatians 4:28-31 • Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. • But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now. • Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. • So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

  22. Genesis 17:21-22 • But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. • And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

  23. Genesis 17:23 • And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

  24. Genesis 17:24-6 • And Abraham [was] ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. • And Ishmael his son [was] thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. • In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

  25. Genesis 17:27-18:1 • And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him. • And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

  26. Genesis 13:18 • Then Abram removed [his] tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which [is] in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

  27. 2 Samuel 4:5 • And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.

  28. Psalm 55:17 • Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

  29. Genesis 18:2 • And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw [them], he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

  30. Genesis 18:3-4 • And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: • Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

  31. Genesis 18:5 • And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

  32. Genesis 18:6-7 • And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead [it], and make cakes upon the hearth. • And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave [it] unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

  33. Matthew 25

  34. Genesis 18:8 • And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set [it] before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

  35. Genesis 18:9-10 • And they said unto him, Where [is] Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. • And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard [it] in the tent door, which [was] behind him.

  36. Genesis 18:11 • Now Abraham and Sarah [were] old [and] well stricken in age; [and] it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

  37. Luke 1:5-7 • There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife [was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name [was] Elisabeth. • And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. • And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were [now] well stricken in years.

  38. John 1:13 • Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

  39. Genesis 18:12 • Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

  40. Genesis 18:13-14 • And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? • Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

  41. Genesis 18:15 • Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
