  3. Challenges to Integration • Gaining the trust of the community we were serving. • Obtaining funding to provide much-needed care to uninsured students.

  4. Strategies Used to Address Challenges • Hired a bilingual immigration attorney. • Consistently looking for funding to provide for uninsured children. Even with the Affordable Care Act in motion, Newark School District will remain one of the districts with the most uninsured children.
