  3. RİZE It is mostly known with the green nature and plateaues.

  4. RİZE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (RCCI) • The establishment of the chamber is known to be in 1892. • In 1923 with the amendment of the commercial act, the chamber becomes legally active. • Today, the chamber serves for 3000 members.

  5. RİZE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (RCCI) • In 2008 KOBİDAM has been realized as being the first EU project by RCCI (DOKAP) • Next project is under the frame of IPA is decided to begin in 2010.

  8. Overall Objective To strengthen the dialogue between the Turkish and EU Chamber of Commerces.

  9. Specific Objectives • Increasing the capacity of RCCI To built the cooperation between Stockholm and Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry,

  13. Activities of The Project • Regarding to the strategy, the specialists from Stockholm chamber has given the required trainings to the chamber staff in order to improve the capacity of RCCI for SME consultancy services. Capacity building trainings for RCCI Staff

  14. Activities of The Project • The key staff of the Rize Chamber has followed the Stockholm Chamber staff during a typical day observing and asking questions about the process. Job Shadowing for the Staff of the Chambers

TheOutcomes of The Project • With the help of the project trainings and the insprations of Swedish methods, RCCI staff are fully qualified in consulting the SME’s in Rize. • Strenghtend and broadend cooperation between the chambers to be continued beyond the project. • E-trade activity is now in use with in the web site.

  23. TheOutcomes of The Project • SCC has gained an increased understanding of Turkey as a trade partner which has been passed on to the chambers members. • Two Tea companies has given start to export.

SUCCESS FACTORS FROM THE VIEW OF SCC • Meeting all project members at start up and building relationships. • Always sharing the same goal. • Several meetings on location in Sweden and Turkey on several occations. • Dialogue with Swedish companies to gain market knowledge. • Committment from ALL partners in the project. • Visibility to the community by media. • Ensuring effective communication. (interpreters) • RCCI staff open and adaptable to new working methods for SME service. • Matching exporters products with the demand in Sweden. • Rize exporters has high quality products which have the possibility to be sold in Sweden. +
