  5. Nelson and False Idols • Nathan “announced this was the unfortunate effect of believing in false idols and he washed his hands of the affair.” • “I do not revere false idols but the living God, who is chief of all mankind.” -Daniel

  6. Hunt • Locusts represent famine- girls eat bugs. • Fighting over the animal meat, like the “hungry lions”.

  7. Ashes • Daniel uses ashes to catch priests. • Girls use ashes to catch Tata Kuvudundu. • Ashes represent death and rebirth.

  8. Baptism • Nathan is too literal with the Bible. • “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost I baptize you, my son. Walk forward into the light.”
