Improvement of disability measurement and statistics

This project aims to enhance the measurement and statistics of disability to support the Biwako Millennium Framework for Action and the Regional Census Programme. It involves developing international standards, policy initiatives, and an integrated approach through partnerships with key players. The project responds to the call for better disability statistics and addresses the lack of regular data collections, underestimation of prevalence and needs, and lack of comparability. It involves raising awareness, developing standards, improving national capacity, and knowledge management.
