Methods in Learning Foreign Language Lecturer Gökçen ŞENEL • Grammer-Translation Method: In this method, first grammer structures then the rules of language are taught.In short, it is memorizing by translating from foreign language to mother tongue. • Direct Method: The general speciality of this method is, the language is heard first, reinforced with tongue and then written by touching with hands. • Ear-Tongue Habit Method: The natural learning of language starts with listening; then continues in the order of speaking, reading and writing.

Communicative Method: According to communicative approach, it is more important to learn and use the terms used in speaking than grammer rules. 6. Optional Method: Optional method is used in the meaning of mixture of methods or richness of methods. It is the usage of good sides of every method in different teaching settings by teacher during class activities.

It is importanttocreatewilling of learningforeinglanguage in person.

Foreign Language Education and Tourism EducationLecturerEsra ÖZCAN • Studentshavingtourismeducationrealisetheirapplied (skill) trainings in 5-star hotelsorholidayresortsandtourismagenciesbetween May –September. Duringappliedtrainings, beside paymentstostudents in theamount of 60% of life salary, food & beverageandaccommodationneedsaresuppliedbycompanies; andtheirinsurancesaremadebyschools (in definedconditions).

BUT, the researches made on tourism employement shows that there is a serious disconnection between education instutitions and sector. 1984 – It has been determined that 95,6% of staff working in tourism companies are not graduated from schools giving tourism education or don’t receive tourism education. 2000 - The rate of staff having vocational tourism education has dicreased in accommodation companies but raised in tourism agencies in present labour. Evaluating the present labour, 11% in accmmodation companies, 5%in restaurants, 25% in tourism agencies have completed their vocational tourism education. 2011 – Tourism sector chooses to meet labur need from labour who do not have tourism education instead of schools supplying vocational trainings. And most importantly, the great percentage of graduates prefer to work in other sectors instead of tourism.
