  2. Children and Family Life • Egyptians loved children. • Egyptians mostly did art with families. • Young children didn't wear any clothes. • Most Egyptians didn’t know how to write. • Most children did not go to school.

Tomb robbers • One thing robbers could not steal was art on the walls. • Tomb paintings often show people dancing or playing. • It was believed dancers and musicians in the paintings. • Tomb paintings show the person who had died. • Even if the person was old and weak at the time of the death they painted pictures of them young, heallthly, and happy.

  4. Making a mummy • If you lived in Egypt a long time ago, when you died they would make you into a mummy. • It takes a long time to make a mummy. • The work was done by a team of priests. • They had to work together for many weeks to make a mummy.
