Waste Management Projects: - Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) Municipal Solid Waste Management is the application of principle of Integrated Solid Waste management (ISWM) to municipal waste. Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) refers to a systematic process that comprises waste segregation and storage at source, primary collection, secondary storage, transportation, secondary segregation, resource recovery, processing, treatment, and final disposal of solid waste. Municipal Solid Waste management is important as it impacts health, environment, and aesthetics of the society, if not managed properly. The brief activities of MSWM system are as follows. 1. Primary collection system Primary storage of waste at generator level Segregation Door to door collection of waste from generators 2. Secondary storage at community level 3. Composting is a natural and biological process and improve the soil fertility, provide essential nutrients and micro-organism to soil and help soil retain moisture. Fully Automatic Semi-Automatic • In-vessel Mixing & Composting • Machine runs itself in 24 hours mode. • 1-2 hours of manpower is required. • Waste is mixed into batches & composting is done in curing system. • 6-8 hours of manpower depending upon capacity. Operation • Initial cycle takes 48-60 hours then regular cycle of 22-24 hours. • Bio-culture is required. • Compost is of high quality but in low quantity. • Initially it takes 12 days then output on regular basis. • Bio-culture is required. • Compost quality is exceptionally good as compared to fully automatic & completely natural. Composting With a given minimum required area we can customize machine size for its proper functioning. Standby Heaters, Insultation Pads & Thermostat results in faster, long lasting & proper temperature balance required for composting. Mixer, Blower & Heater run time is balanced those results in lot of electricity savings. Total Machine run time is 8 hours in 24 hours. 9

Run Machine on automatic mode for 22-24 hour Segregation Organic Waste Input Storage of Organic Compost Ready to be used or packed Compost Collection Conversion of waste into compost in Curing system Waste Segregation & Shredding Input of organic waste in machine Cycle of 30-35 minutes for each batch Remove waste from output door & add it to curing system. Curing system maintains moisture & bacterial growth inside crate by the sprinkle of bio-culture and water. Waste is converted into compost in cycle of 12 days. After first 12 days, you start getting compost on daily basis. 10
