About us Locality is the leading nationwide network of settlements, development trusts, social action centres and community enterprises.  We believe that every community is a place of possibility. Locality was formed through the merger of bassac and the Development Trusts Association, two leading networks of community owned and led organisations.

  9. Why it matters • Because you and your communities need to evidence your needs • Use these to shape your services and buildings • With less money we need services that meet needs and involves service users

  10. Use Outcomes • Outcomes -A way of describing the changes we want our services to make • Outcomes need to meet funders and community objectives – avoiding mission drift • Outcomes we want from our buildings

Example 1: Outputs: 400 weekly drop in welfare advice sessions/year Impact: increased take up of welfare entitlements Outcome: improved personal health and confidence, more stable household finances Example 2: Outputs: drop in sessions for older people 40/year Imapct: reduced isolation, better mental health Outcomes: greater social participation and engagement within community
