  2. Origin and the story behind its name:- The earliest instance of this hand-block printing technique known as "Sanganeri" was in the town of Sanganer, which is located in the southern part of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Almost five centuries old, this type of textile printing continues to be highly valued by weavers and other artisans. Sanganer is not the only region known for block printing; others include Bagru, Akola, Barmer, and Jodhpur. The unique characteristics of this type of printing technology are delicate patterns and lines with vivid colourful patterns. The star of delicate and elegant designs are sanganeri patterns. Unique to Sanganeri designs, the flowers and petals contain complex elaboration known as "Buttas."These print’s creation dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries and spans a period of 500 years. At the end of the 18th century, Sanganer was a reputable block printing textile producing company.

  3. The Making of Sanganeri Print:- This straight forward procedure begins with washing, is followed by marking, printing, and culminates with dying and washing. Additionally, artists typically employ blocks with designs etched on them to produce the stunning Sanganeri print on fabric. These blocks can be constructed of metal or wood. The fabric was originally printed primarily for royal families and wealthy traders, but it is now utilised in apparel for urban households and is exported. Sanganeri Print: Modern Day Sarees, dupattas, salwar-kameez, bed covers, curtains, scarves etc. are among the main commodities printed. It uses both domestic and foreign textiles. Currently, Jaipur is the source for "mulmu" (cotton voile), "latha" (sheeting textiles), and cambric, among other materials. Background colours used on Sanganeri "chintz" (printed fabric) are often yellow, green, and blue (in various tones). Nowadays, it's uncommon to find the wide range of colours that made up the original Sanganeri "chintz," but they still make "chhips" because they have an unmatched talent for matching the background perfectly. Designs and Motifs:- The designs and patterns utilised in Sanganeri print come in a wide range of styles, with the most common floral motifs being those of the sunflower, rose, and narcissus. Along with flowers, other popular motifs include those showing various gods, fruits, and traditional sceneries. The curves and patterns mostly represent Sanganer's native flora and wildlife.
