Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF 2.0) Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) is an instrument that develops and classifies qualifications based on a set of criteria that are approved nationally and benchmarked against international best practices, and which clarifies the earned academic levels, learning outcomes of study areas and credit system based on student academic load.

MQF is benchmarked against the main qualifications frameworks worldwide such as those of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. • The European Qualifications Framework is now the umbrella framework for European Union countries and accepted by the UNESCO. Learning outcomes are: • statements on what students should know, understand and can do upon successful completion of a period of study, which generally lead to a qualification or part of a qualification. • References for standard and quality as well as for the development of curriculum in terms of teaching and leaning, the determinations of credits and the assessment of students.
