  3. Last Spring break… • Shadowed in a hospital for 3 days • Spent time in the • Emergency department • Operating room • Pediatric floor • OBGYN unit

This Trip • Dates: Leave Dec. 16 or 17, return Dec. 23 or 24 • Destination: Otavaloin the state of Imbabura • Activities • Hospital rotations in San Luis de Otavalo • Visiting 2 urban clinics up in the mountains • Very poor communities • Well give back with community service • Visiting 2 orphanages • Possibly have a carnival with children • Possibility of a vacation (if time permits) • Intag: natural hot springs, kayaking, hiking

  8. The number of students will be 15-20 for the trip • Participants will be chosen by interview • You will need to financially commit • There will be multiple meetings throughout the semester • We’ll need help finding donations and fundraising • Very important!
