  2. Mission C h e m C l u b invites, motivates, and encourages high school students who are fascinated by the many ways that chemistry connects to their world.

  3. What is chemclub? • high school club that provides students with a unique opportunity to experience chemistry beyond the classroom. There are currently over 330 clubs across the United States being supported by the American Chemical Society  - with 5 clubs here in Colorado  • Regis Jesuit High School; Palmer High School; Wasson High School; Denver Venture School; George Washington High School

  4. What is chemclub? ChemClub provides students the opportunity to… • participate in chemistry activities outside of the classroom, • get involved in their community, • learn about chemistry careers, • enjoy social events, and • better appreciate how chemistry plays a role in our everyday lives.

  5. ACS support ACS supports chartered* clubs with fun and useful resources. • handbook of information and resources for starting a club and conducting club activities. • quarterly themed resource packets – inlcuding experiments, demonstrations, tips, and suggestions for non-laboratory club activities. • help to connect to ACS local section & nearby ACS Student college chapter • ChemClubDirectory - lists clubs in your area • Bonus items, such as t-shirts, copies of ChemMattersand the Journal of Chemical Education, are offered during the year, at no cost for active, chartered* clubs. * Free application – no fees involved in being a chartered club
