  3. AE in Taiwan Adult education policy in Taiwan is fragmented. It is divided to several government departments. The focuses of adult education policy : increasing the employability and the leisure need of elderly Most of the governmental adult education programmes are provided by local NGOs or universities with the funding and supervision of the government. But the connection among NGOs is less strong than Estonia

There are many more stories. What themes do you recognise from your own story as educators? For more information see Notes

  5. The main focus of Adult Education in Colombia is Literacy and numeracy for youth and adults • The ministry of education is looking to move towards education beyond literacyi.e: vocational and peace education • There is also interest in creating comprehensive education that includes: culture, economics and politics • Distance learning is becoming more prevalent • NGOs tend to be big players in achieving these goals AE in Colombia

  6. AE in Mexico • It is mainly focused on literacy for indigenous groups to learn how to read and write in their own tongue, and also for them to learn Spanish. • It is carried out by INEA, which is the government institution for Adult Education. • AE provision is also carried out by NGOs focused on lower socioeconomic sectors of the country. • Unfortunately there is not much participation of every sector of the society in order to build AE policies. https://www.speakpipe.com/voice-recorder/msg/mq0yuhszwabpeakx
