  1. The Gospel in 4 WORDS We’re really glad that you’re viewing this slideshow. We hope it will help you to understand more about the world we live in. None of this is new, it has been around for millennia. But we think this is the most essential insight into life as we know it. We want you to know the reality that God loves you and experience the freedom of new life with him. This slideshow is brought to you by Harry and Charlie of Stoke Poges Church. All the quotes are from the Holy Bible (TNIV). Begin the slideshow.

  2. “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history.so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him...” Acts 17:24-27 Creation We were created for perfect relationship with God, in a world that was only good, but that is not how things are now. Next

  3. “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of human beings.since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator – who is forever praised. Amen.” Romans 1:18,19 & 25 Corruption The world we live in now is fractured and broken, because of our wrongdoing (or sin), and we are corrupted. Next

  4. Because of his great love for us Jesus died for our debts; forgiveness and new life is offered to us as a gift. “No-one will be declared righteous in God's sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now, the righteousness of God has been made known, given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood – to be received by faith.” Romans 3:20-25 Redemption Next

  5. If we receive God’s forgiveness by faith we are given his Holy Spirit to free us to live changed lives as citizens of Heaven. “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved childrenand walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 4:22-24 & 5:1-2 RESTORATION Next

  6. What next? Do you have questions or are you ready to take the next step. Here’s a prayer you could use as you begin... Dear God, Thank you for this world you have made. I recognise my corruption and I’m sorry for my wrongdoing. Thank you that you love me and that Jesus died for me on the cross. I receive your forgiveness and put my trust in you. Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit, heal my corruption and set me free to live your way. Amen.
