Pre-Reform Assessment Survey • Before the implementation of the reform teachers and staff would complete a self assessment survey. • Part of 1 of the survey would ask teachers to rate their current level of expertise in the following areas • Use of Technology • Best practices in classroom instruction • Classroom management techniques • Use of curriculum resources

  3. Pre-Reform Assessment Survey • Part two of the survey would ask teachers to rate their willingness to collaborate with teachers on their respective grade levels and within their school. • Survey Scale • 5 Very likely • 4 Likely • 3 Possibly • 2 Not Very Likely • Not Likely

  4. Post-Reform Assessment Survey • After the implementation of the reform at Hickory Ridge teachers and staff would complete the same survey • The leadership team at Hickory Ridge and the superintendant would evaluate the results of both surveys

  5. Pre-Reform Interview • Before the implementation of the reform Mr. O’Connor would individually interview each teacher and staff member. • Interview questions would focus on the following ideas • Level of comfort within the classroom • Ability to use new technology in the classroom • Use of best practices in classroom management • Use of best practices for classroom instruction • Use of instructional resources • Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff members within the school building

  6. Post-Reform Interview • After the implementation of the reform at Hickory Ridge Mr. O’Conner would complete a post-reform interview using the same questions from the pre-reform interview. • The leadership team at Hickory Ridge and the superintendant would evaluate the responses of both interview sessions and make a decision about whether or not the views of staff members have changed.

  7. Using the results… • The results of both the survey and/or interview will allow Mr. O’Connor to plan for future on-going staff development in the areas that will most benefit his staff.
