  3. Customizing Internet Explorer with useful LINKS

  4. Point to Links and Right Click and then Click on Lock the Toolbars to remove the check mark and unlock the Toolbar

  5. Point to the work “LINKS” and hold down the left mouse button and drag up to the toolbar area and then release the mouse

  6. To customize the links, point to each link that are Windows Default and right click and delete. Then point to the Address Line and click on the “E” (Explorer) icon and hold down the left mouse button and drag to the top Links section and release the mouse button. You can then right click on the new link and select “Rename” and name it an abbreviated name so that more links can be added.

  9. Before you click Print……. Click Print Preview to see what is going to be printed

  10. This is an example of Print Preview Click on Page Break Preview This will allow you to alter what is printed.

  11. Point to the BLUE line and hold down the left mouse button and drag to increase or decrease what it printed on each page.

  12. If you only want to print a small area of an Excel Sheet use your mouse and hold down the left button to highlight a specific area. Then click File, Print Area and Set Print Area. It will then only print that section.

  14. Can I EASILY print the screen I see on 1 page? Hold Down “Ctrl” and then Press “Print Screen”

  15. Open Microsoft Word and press “Ctrl” and then “V”

  16. Is your Internet Slower ?

  17. Click on Tools and then Internet Options

  18. Click Delete Cookies, then click Ok. Once that is complete click Delete Files and then Clear History.

  19. RESTART THE COMPUTER How to? Click on Start and then Shut Down and then Restart.

  20. Does your computer not process commands as quickly as it used to? If so, you might need to “Defragment” your computer. This will defragment your volumes so your computer runs more efficiently.

  21. How to Defragment? Click on Programs, Accessories, System Tools and then Disk Defragmenter

  22. Is your computer “locked” and will not do anything? • From any Screen, hold down “Ctrl” & “Alt” then press DELETE. • Windows Security Window will appear. Click on Task Manager

  23. A windows task manager pop-up will appear. Find the Program that says “Not Responding” on the right and then click on that program and then click END TASK at the bottom
